Walkabout with Dad

Well it was about time me little fella and myself went for a walkabout around Whitemans Park, to a place called 'The Children's forest'. Okay it's not much of a forest like you guys get over on the other side of Australia, but to us it's about as close as we get hay.

As you can see a real aussie bush forest, well it's about as real ridgie-didge as it gets over this side mate. But the little bush walk they have made is real beaut and the kiddies just love it. You have to keep opening gates to go to the next section, and as you go along you get to see if you can find stuff in the trees.

See as you walk along the bush track you come to these little markers like this one, and the kiddies looks in the direction of the pointer and sees whatever is in the tree. In this photo you can see that the marker is pointing at a wooden bird.

Here he is up close, pretty cool hay and the kiddies just love it.

Here is Harrison taking on a real ridgie-didge aussie cement crocodile 'Crikey she's a real good looker this one mate'.

And here we have another one of those pointers, this one is pointing to a bunch of hungry big ants climbing along the old dead tree. Now this one all the kiddies say is the best as I think all kiddies love ants, unless their in their pants. And so we just walked along till we got to the end then walked back along the track to the start, it was a real beaut walk and the next time we went to it I had all the kiddies come along so it was pretty full on. But this trip was real beaut and we both had a ripper time.
